This search is conducted in person, by making an appointment to inspect the public records held at the Public Records Office in London. Since 14 December 2007 every property put on the market in England and Wales must have a Home Information Pack (HIP). It brings together valuable information needed by buyers and sellers at the initial stages of the buying process, making the process more efficient. What is Included in a Home Information Pack?
